Updated review below. TL:DR - it was great.
I originally had a poor delivery experience when I first ordered from Big Vinny's.
Both the owner and head smoker reached out to discuss what happened and convinced me to stop by and try the food again.
I'm very glad I did. When presented properly, the food was really good. I loved the rub they used on the meat. The sides were good, too. The corn had a bit of spice and the bbq sauce was a thinner vinegary sauce that had a good tang to it.
Both gentlemen I referenced above were friendly and inviting when I stopped by, even before they knew I had a challenging experience before.
Happy to go back back again. Thanks!

Such a perfect BBQ experience! Service is personal and thoughtful. BBQ is mouthwateringly good. You can eat at the tables outside the truck or get your meal to go.
I got the brisket combo and asked if I could try some turkey too. The owner kindly threw in a few pieces - they were delicious! The brisket was moist and had a good amount of bark. The sides were a nice complement, though I preferred the potato salad. -

I'll start by saying Brian is a good man.
My wife and I couldn't check into our Airbnb yet so we decided to go grab lunch. BBQ was the only choice and Big Vinny's happened to be in the neighborhood of the Airbnb. So we Lyfted our way from the airport with our carryons and backpacks... Upon arrival at Big Vinny's, which is a trailer style rig with a few benches in front, we scanned the menu and both chose the 2 meat plate. I went with brisket (duh...it's Texas) and baby backs. My wife went with brisket and a sausage link. Sides of Coleslaw, beans, potato salad were added.
The food came quickly...what to say...it was wonderful. Brisket was tender and smoky, ribs had that perfect bite, sausage was buttery with a little spice, sides were great especially the cole slaw - don't sleep on the cole slaw, it helps break up the meat with a vinegary bite. Sauce was not necessary but nevertheless deliciously tangy.
Midway through our meal, Brian popped out and gave us some of his smoked turkey and spare ribs so we could try all the items. Then he gave us a bottle of Topo Chico (a local sparkling water) on the house as well. If that wasn't generous enough, when we finished, Brian offered to store our bags in his trailer while we explored until our Airbnb opened up. What an introduction to Austin, I am extraordinarily thankful and appreciate Brian's genuine kindness.
Brian - if you're reading this, thanks so much for your hospitality. It means a lot to us. If you're ever in Sacramento, reply to this review and we'll be sure to return the favor to y'all. -

The brisket sandwich was huge and delicious! Seriously enough to feed two people. I got the beans and corn, also huge and delicious. The wait time was super short, especially compared to other places on SoCo. The staff were friendly, and they were playing some good tunes. I would definitely recommend this place.

Wow wow wow wow! Unassuming little food truck parked in front of Hudson Meat! The man working the truck (Brian) was great and so sweet, totally the Texas gentleman. Had a Big Vinnie sandwich and was soooo amazing! Great food, will definitely want to come back! So much flavor and the brisket was soooooo tender!
